Sibze 04-04-2012 11:46 AM

The interior will have all kinds of colour choices as well

Ron 04-04-2012 11:47 AM

the question is, will the GTR outperform it? lol

Econ 04-04-2012 11:48 AM

wonder if they solved the issue of the side exhaust exit heating up the cabin.

nice. but i think I would have a concern taking a $120k car to a dodge dealer for service. I don't think i would have that concern if i took a $120k porsche to a porsche dealer for service

Sibze 04-04-2012 11:58 AM

I really like it!

And correct me if I am wrong but dealers have mechanics that are certified to work on the Viper. Not all dodge dealers have a mechanic that can work on them

I'm sure it will be like how Nissan works on the GTRs. You take your Viper to a dealer with an authorized SRT Viper tech.

Exactly what I was thinking. No way does the guy who does a neon (or w/e else) do you viper

Side note: I wish GTR techs would do the Z's too

Ron 04-04-2012 12:02 PM

Get to know them and they do... check my TT build thread

my concern is not about the competency of the mechanics but about having an expensive car like that parked in a dealer that sells/services regular cars. The car would stand out and sometimes bad things could happen. I would have a little concern taking a GTR to a Nissan dealer for service too, but this Viper is a lot more expensive!

2013 GTR Black Edition is around 100K as well

Make sure you take it to a good dealer then and do a before and after inspection with the GM of the dealer.

Ultimately, there will always be a risk taking a vehicle like that anywhere, not just a dealer. Drive it, love it, and understand it WILL get a paint chip.

yup $107,600 and if you bought it in silver it would be a 110K MSRP car off the nissan lot

exactly so Viper base is on par with gtr Base.

I agree with above, get to know the dealership / owner of dealership. Find a guy you trust there and make sure only he touches your car (including when you give it to them in the service bay)

speedfreek 04-04-2012 12:37 PM

:yum: Love that they went back with some styling cues from the second gen. The headlights remind me of the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta that was recently released. Oh and I like the new snake logo! Coiled up and ready to strike. See if it can strike down the ZR1

Can't wait to see what it does in the shootout.

Ron 04-04-2012 12:40 PM

I was about to say the same regarding the headlights. Tail lights look familiar too. Maybe Aston Matin ish.

Cmike2780 04-04-2012 01:03 PM

This car is gonna be sick! I'm really glad they went back to the original design language. One of my all time favorite car.

280z/300zx 04-04-2012 01:07 PM

Anyone else notice the "oh ****" handle for the passenger side? I thought that was inventive and says a lot about the car. LOL

only complaint I have is that the back looks a bit tacky imo.

But, oh God am I glad the b*tch is back!
