Very curious to see #'s from the new 5.0, but in no way will it compete from a performance standpoint. They remain separate vehicles.

I know that, but for me it will come down to cost. If I can get a C7 in my price range it would be my top choice. If not, then I will probably settle with the 5.0, depending on the final numbers.

DO you have to buy IMMEDIATELY? I'd wait and pick up a lightly used C7 mayhap. There just won't be any comparison.

I'm talking about 2 years from now, but my price limit is probably going to be like $40k. Not sure if a 2 year old C7 will come down that low.

A base 1LT might come close. Probably harder to get a Z51 pkg one that low that is relatively clean. Im sure you aren't wanting one with high mileage.

Yeah I'll just have to wait and see what the market looks like when I'm ready to buy.

Here is a 2012 for 39K Chevrolet Corvette 1LZ | eBay ... so if the C7 holds its value like the C6 you should be good. I love to get one as well, but I really want the Z06 (in my dreams haha)
