They really suck you in with that base price, though. $78k... sweet! I might be able to afford a 911! *a few options later* http://i0.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/...Untitled-1.jpg |
The new Boxster really looks amazing and I can't wait to see the next gen Cayman, which should look even better. If I were to ever get a Porsche, it would be used and a few years old.

Steve where are these meetings. I think I might have a problem too...
Admitting it is the first step right. The new boxster does look good but I'm not sold. Porsche is the 911 and that's what I'd get but then again at the price after options(car and drivers test of one hit 133k for a 2S!!) on one there's a lot else I'd get.... Audi R8 v8 is right there AM v8 ZR1 GTR Maserati gran turismo I think is probably on the high end new but a year or two old You could probably find an older gallardo close to the 100k price too. And I'm the biggest convertible fan there is. And most of those arent at close to the 100k area I mean we are talking about these things as toys right? |

The R8 is not in the same class as the boxster and costs almost twice as much. It's only really competing with the 911 and maybe a fully loaded Cayman R if you just look at price. |
The zippers on my jacket are made of the same material the cayman r has for door handles.....

So it makes YOU buy new cars faster. |
I'm just saying I "could" buy a lot of cars but I simply choose to buy only Steve's cars
:icon17: I'm not being vain or anything. There's a group of us here that are addicted to buy cars (see the Automobiles Anonymous thread) and we use this forum to try and talk ourselves out of doing something stupid. So when I say, "I *could* get a 911, but..." it just reinforces to me that I *can't* get one because I'd have to give up every other interest of mine and then live with a car payment that could very well be rent... or go towards a house... and I'd effectively be working just to pay for a car. I don't think I'm the only person here that does that (openly talks about future cars... and talks themselves out of it).
It's important therapy because there are a lot of us that will price out cars that we really shouldn't be pricing out... and maybe we're mentally unstable enough to actually go out and make a pretty bad financial decision. ;)
...wait, I mean :ugh2: Quote:
