Can't go wrong with a Porsche Cayman or Boxster if you love driving.

I like the GT-R, but I can't stand driving a "sports car" in paddle shifters , knowing full well thats the direction of the future but I'm hanging on to any manual transmission sports cars as long as possible.

:yum: at the caymen!

While I agree with you juicy, have you ever had the chance to drive a GTR? Each time I have, I say to myself "now this is the ONE AT I can deal with!"

I really like it. It doesn't look as awkward

the S has 315hp and 266tq. That is for a 60k car. No thanks, do not want. Don't care how well it handles or how balanced it is or etc. A 60k sports car should have more than 315hp. That is all.

I agree to an extent, however we really need to look at the hp to weight ratio. the '13 cayman should be a pretty light car, much quicker than the Z, even at 15hp less.

the new NSX is going to be at least $120k and it only has ~450hp.... thats the same as a 5.0 mustang.

Well the current Cayman S makes 320hp and 273 torque at a weight of 29XX. Currently runs 12.9-13.1. So unless the next gen Cayman gets significant weight reduction 315hp and 266 torque aren't going to do much to improve it's current performance.

Porsche has been putting its entire line on a diet. The biggest additions other than appearance for the new cayman is supposed to be in the weight department.

I'm thinking 2750lbs for the S model.

KingZee 04-13-2012 02:07 PM

I'm loving the new look, especially from the back, wow...this just went into my "next sports car" lineup

Econ 04-13-2012 02:08 PM

Yea, I'm a big fan.

b1adesofcha0s 04-13-2012 02:14 PM

I can't look at a Cayman and not wish I had gotten that instead of the Z. Was out of my price range though. I think it's the best looking Porsche, with the exception of the 918.
