There was ringland issues because the STI run's too lean up top from the factory tune. Once you richen up the top end you have no issue. They also blow from people adding performance parts without a tune and leaning it out even more.

Ya I've been reading on iwsti that most people think the factory tune is more unsafe than any aftermarket tune. I need to find a respectable tuner who knows these cars and pick his brain. I'm really not looking to mod anytime soon but if the factory tune is lacking something critical, I might have no other choice.

i have the cobb tune on my 335. i like it a lot. is that what you plan to go with on the sti?
