Fwiw, I really liked the e92 m3, the new one should be even nicer. Maybe hold out and see how it turns out?

Agreed on the two cars thing, nothing like saying, hmmm, which sports(sporty) car will I drive today.

That said, I do like the M3, and the next gen turbo 6 will be sick I"m sure, still, I'd rather have the two cars.

only thing that kills the new m3 for me is the decision to go with a v6 (or at least that is the latest rumor I've heard)

If that is true i would be disappointed as well. The I6 is imo what BMW is known for.

If it is in fact turbo'ed from the factory, that kinda makes up for missing that awesome high revving v8 in the current one imo. The improved mpg will be nice to boot.

new gen will be turbo'd, like the M5. But that wont be til 2014 (if they skip the model year like in the past with the 3 series revision)
