Should I trade my Z For a Shelby or 5.0

The 2012 base were $48k with STV package and nav $55k. I can justify somewhere between those prices for all the gains

It will be really interesting if they can keep the pricing close. Going from 550hp to 650 hp and a "200+ mph" top speed rating is a pretty big deal that probably will bring some added cost with it.

I hope so. Regardless, DAMN! I'm really liking where ford is taking the 'stang. At this rate, the next gen will be incredible.

Nissan, wake the fVck up already!

From what has been confirmed so far with the next gen is it will be 250 lbs lighter (minimum) and it will have direct injection and most likely IRS. So 3,350 lbs at maximum and somewhere around 450hp for the GT.

The V6 might be getting replaced with a turbo 4.

This 2013 GT500, though, is pretty damn interesting. I knew it'd be around 600 hp but wasn't expecting 650, and certainly wasn't expecting Ford to throw out the big "200." Hopefully they put out some 'Ring times to see how it compares to the ZL1.

I'm really really interested in seeing what the next gen 'stang turns out like. Ford is just hitting home run after home run with this car now. If nissan kills the Z, I can see picking one of the next gen GTs or Boss 302's as a nice addition to our Nismo Z at some point (unless the wife gets her way and we just pick up a lightly used GTR instead).

Agreed, I remember some of the convos on here about this topic.

If that is true, the Z would be in big trouble if Nissan doesn't do any updates by then. I would definitely look at the Mustang if that comes true.
