Even then, if you wait around, they may still have 2012's on the lot when 2013's hit showrooms. So you can compare side by side if you do it at the right time.

you like the Roush axle backs, Steve? Seemed to be a little too "open" for me. It seems to not have the low throaty growl that the GT500 or the Borlas do. I mean the Roush's are loud, don't get me wrong, but a tinny loud?

Having heard them in person I think they sound pretty good. With an H pipe they have a pretty ballsy idle.

yeah that too... it sounds like a dragster type of idle, something you hear on a 1/4 mile track race, like Pinks... LOL. Not my type, but each his own

I wonder what power gains if any, have been seen on Roush, GT500, Borla axlebacks and catbacks?

Nada. At best it's one or two hp. The real gains come from the cat deletes and LTHs.

Pure sound then... I'm ok with that. That's the beauty of the 5.0. I saw/read some folks putting down 396whp STOCK. That would mean the 412hp ford claim is underrated.
