This is not a surprise. I lived there for a couple of years, it's an oil town w/lots of money and a lot of oil companies, to include independants.
It was one of the wealthiest cities in the U.S. (per capita) at one time. Midland has some really nice houses also. When I lived there, it was nothing to see a Boss 429, Shelby Cobra (original-not replica) and other expensive exotic and classic cars among the many trucks & Suvs. BTW, West Texas, is a great place to find good collectible classic cars. |
