335is or Mustang 5.0??

Some people are more responsible than others in how they treat their 335s with high-end tunes. I know 3 people who blew their motors, personally.

I've put kid seats into the back of coupes and I can assure you that it is absolutely no fun. You will be sick of it in about 2 weeks and ready to trade the coupe for a sedan.

You can't go wrong.

since my last test drive of the 370z, i had to cross it off my list. It just did not provide the comfort I needed.

I moved on and tested the 5.0 and 335is - the 335is is a beast. Great performance numbers (0-60 4.7 sec) and the exhaust note is heaven, it's what the stock Z should sound like.
It gets pricey with options, and reliability could be sketchy, but it's a really nice fun and comfortable car!

It will also be expensive to maintain. Bear in mind, BMW will pick up maintenance issues under warranty, but if they find damage or your fault in any way, they'll rape your wallet.

There is no doubt it will be more expensive in the long run - I really wanted a Z, but I could just not get comfortable in one on a long test drive.

The BMW 335i seats are awesome, leaps and bounds above the Z

Well, yeah, it's a lux coupe (or sedan). It competes more with the G37 in terms of comfort.

You'll get no argument there. I'm just saying, the Z's seats are not competing with 335 seats. Maybe closer to Z4 seats, but even that is a stretch. Maybe closer to GenCoupe or RX8 seats.

yes - but due to past back operations I need to buy something that I can actually be comfortable in when driving, and the Z just beat me up too bad.

I still love the car and wish it was for me, but that's life...

Thanks for all the advice so far guys. I went back and test drove both cars again and I thin I'm gonna go with the 335is. I love the V8 in the Mustang, but the fit and finish just isn't there and I'm not sure that I will be able to live with the overly plastic interior on a daily basis. The 335is is the polar opposite in that respect, fit and finish is top notch and it feels much more refined. And honestly, if I didn't know better, I would say that it is just as fast, as it really performs amazingly.
