Base package will have 630HP while the performance package will be at 800HP. That is insane for being under 100k. To bad there will be no warranty.

hmmm, I'll admit I just skimmed the article but it's $80K or so for the mods + the car from ford, around $50K for that so it's total over $100K.

That said, 800hp is crazy but unless there's some serious, serious attempt to get that power to the ground, it's going to be not much more than bragging rights and a dyno queen.

That car will need drag radials just to drive it to the grocery store.

No, its under 100,000. The prices they give include the price of the initial car purchase already.

re-read the article,
"Prices for the 2011 Super Snake start about $80,000 in total, including the separate purchase of a car from Ford -- a factory-produced Shelby GT500 -- and the necessary modifications."

Still bloody expensive...

With full-on slicks the 750bhp version ran 11.1X@128.XX

I'm not very impressed considering the power, slicks required, etc.

Ok, my misread. Still expensive, but alot more palatable at $80k.

/\ this is the problem. 750bph should be a helluva lot quicker down the 1320 than 11.1...

too much power, not enough traction.
