Yeah. I've seen lots of videos and articles about this car. He's not an electric snob either, but wants to show people how fast electric cars really are. He's running on 40AH Kokam batteries now, I believe. They're kind of pricey, but I think he got a sponsorship from Kokam to get the price down. I think they're currently priced about $1 per wh.
He would go a lot faster if he used either the Siemens AC motors or Brusa motors instead, but it's still shocking to see the forklift motors doing what they do. I plan to do an electric swap someday, but until I can afford the 30K, it's just a dream.
