I just e-mailed my salesperson to let her know I'd consider a 3.55 gear if she finds any.

Unless I can negotiate a deal that beats USAAs price, yes. The dealership I'm going through honors the USAA member pricing.

My exact spec is:

GT Premium
Comfort Package
Brembo brakes
Security package
3.73/3.55 gear
Manual Trans

USAA price is like $32,600.

that is OUTSTANDING. I ended up getting mine (security pkg, 3.55's) for $27,200 + TTL, I was pretty happy with that, but 32k w/ all that is one hell of a deal.

I don't know if I have said this but Ford is taking their cars to a new level. In domestic market, Ford is going to (if not already) come out on the top. In Japanese market, Nissan is def dominating the market. Toyota has lost billions of dollars due to their accelerating issue and Honda simply aren't putting out anything exciting at all.

With that said, my ultimate garage would probably be Nissan 370Z, 2010+ Mustang GT500 and 2010+ E92 M3 :driving: . I'll be the happiest guy alive!

I admit, I'm going to miss it. I had an "oops" on my test drive expecting it to be there. :icon18:

Had to remember how to heel-toe. :driving:

SyncroRev has completely changed the way I drive. I'm actually nervous to drive other manual because I'm totally spoiled by it. It'll probably take me 3 months to get my downshifting back :driving: on the next car.

thank god I never had an interest in the SRM because i'd probably have issues adjusting as well. But i'll say this, the Getrag transmission in my 5.0 blows the Z tranny away, smooth as butter and the clutch engage point is superb. The car honestly drives like a luxury car with more balls, Ford added sound deadening material to the undercarriage for 2011 and you cant hear anything in the cab until you get on it. I cant wait for those magnaflow muffler deletes

Spot on, bro. The Getrag is sweet... the factory short-shifter is just about perfect... clutch... everything.

ha, good one, to be honest, this is the first American car i've owned since my 89' IROC, and i'll say this, Ford has impressed the fvck outta me with this one. You would think that Japanese cars would have a smooth, notch free transmission, being that they are typically the technological pioneers with cars, but the transmission in this thing will completely and utterly blow your mind, the throws on my 370 felt like driving an 18 wheeler compared to this one, there is zero hesitation at the neutral gate between gears, its almost a straight pull. The air conditioner in the 5.0 is ridiculous, the speed choices are low, medium and f'in gale force in this thing, i love it. It also has this thing called Electronic Stability Control and Traction Control, which are two completely seperate entities in this car, you can turn one or the other off and use "Sport mode", which basically allows you to get a little crazy and still keep some stability. It also has this security package option which basically adds tilt sensors and motion detection inside the cab, it blows my mind how much technology Ford included in this thing. Now I will say this, I miss the way my Z handled, the 5.0 feels like a boat in comparison, and I miss how easy it is to whip it around, im still not 100% confident in my stang yet. I'll miss my Z, but the 5.0 is absolutely AMAZING.

Cool, man. Congratulations. I'm glad that you're happy with it. I agree that Ford has really stepped up their game in recent years, and it's nice that they finally made the Stang a fire-breathing beast straight from stock. Still not my cup of joe, but the performance numbers for the price is staggering.
