Just because we can afford Zs and drool over GTRs does not mean the ppl who afford them arnt drooling over a Lambo or Porsche... its all relative - to a guy driving a civic (an enthusiast) pines over Zs and would love to accept the Z in standard form... but as every owner of every car is going to want something unique - you will see many such customizations...

No, I do agree in a way..but really?!! Just becuz I like Z's and want a GTR..doesn't mean I don't drool over a Porshe or Audi ( LAMBO? haha.. does anyone still want them? Played out) ANYWHO....I'm not saying the dude that wants a kit is stupid or any other offensive word, I just believe that..well for 1- maybe the owner should be on here discussing this..and 2- too each, their own. Isn't this site based on facts, HELP, and mostly..OPINIONS?!! Cuz this is surely what I get out of it. Not taking offense to your words of wisdom (which is what my name means BTW haha) but I'm giving my opinion. he asked, I WILL give. No, I'm not expert on cars and how to build a 1000hp car..but I do know taste..and TASTE is kept clean. No need for a kit IMO, but it's not my choice. Good luck to him..it could look good with one, but I still like the stock look

He should first get a tune.
Best bang for the buck.
Then he can start with some boltons.
Cosmetics come later imo!

haha i quite like the tommy kaira kit for the gt-r. i think its nice a subtle but it DEFINITELY sets you apart from other gt-r owners. on the pricy side tho as most japanese import stuff.

OK, fine..I do like that kit. But there's nothing wrong with stock. But yea..that is hot

Exactly. I know I wouldn't spend 80k+ for a car to change it looks! Maybe a lip kit at most and maybe a few engine mods like a CAI and exhaust..or maybe just HFCs and window tint. Sh*t, I'd (once again) kill for a GTR. I'm simple...that really is my dream car (besides the Audi R8 haha)

Once again? You've killed someone before? BAD Sophia :shakes head:

1st thing he said was no engine work. He doesn't want to void warranty. That includes the ecu... Besides throttle response is ridiculous in a GTR. Acceleration is top notch. The best way to go is customizable suspension, brake upgrades, and if you do bodykit. Make sure its functional. Don't go just for looks.

Really though, on a car like a GT-R. I would keep it "100% JDM"

I think the chip will do wonders for its 1/4 mile time. And with the AWD it will probably still not spin or bog down witht the extra tq.

you may destroy the transmission but... =)

Personally I feel our car looks better, for the Nismo maybe they should have put the gtr engine into the Z...

and they should make a gtr nismo with 6 turbos... one for each cylinder... that would be awesome...

haha I know I was playing. I agree, I would love to own a GTR.

SkyZ 05-07-2010 12:04 AM

haha ur best bet is still to go over to Nagtroc, they got reviews on just about everything over there. everything from lip kits from mines, to full on body kits like the tommy i mentioned before.

CrownR426 05-07-2010 12:10 AM

Void your warranty!
Who needs it anyways!

My dad is a odd guy. He already got bored of the GT-r's looks so he wants something to freshen it up

zman1910 05-07-2010 01:43 AM

Hmmm.....I can't even imagine what it's like to hear a parental figure say they want a bodykit for their GT-R.
