Bought me a new toy (Dildo) well since everything is Little in me its just befitting
to get a fun car. Always wanted one since I was 16 years old.

Didn’t like the color but its gonna be my 16 year old daughters car when school opens up next year.

For now Daddy would play with it....

First order of the mods...Madwi’s Detailing style!!....Let the Blood bath (ReD) begins!!!

What's more fun to drive, this or the TRD Toyota

Rusty 04-28-2020 08:48 PM

You must be using Betty's camera. :shakes head:

Hope you bought a warranty with it.

Actually Rusty was considering that since its a BMW but honestly the prices of parts are not as bad as the real BMW.

Why I say that...because the mini has less sensors or less high tech gizzmos compared even to a 3 series BMW.

The car is still a raw car that is why its priced less expensive than a BMW.

The two cars are completely different cars... no point of comparison.

Both are nice fun cars but I would say the Mini gives me bigger grin in my face as its like a small rocket ship..why I say that because the mini has a drive selector modes when you put it into sport a small 🚀 is being displayed on the center dash.

I really find that funny but yes it does feel like a rocketship at that sport mode.
I would say driving like a go-Kart in steroids!

The other car that I feel the same loads of fun is the 370Z.

Maybe a few more years when kids are settled down.. I’ll get me another sports package 370Z unmolested.

Zoren 370 04-28-2020 09:24 PM

Btw drove 165 miles from Orlando it clocked 39mpg!

Thats even at high premium octane covid19 gas.

Zoren 370 04-28-2020 09:28 PM

Personally I would like to thank you FPenis for assisting me to make a calculated decision in making this purchase.

As I hard balled negotiating with the sales manager FP is giving me inside view of the cars market value at auctions.

Sales manager scratch head as to where I get those numbers. Lol

Its like an insider info for stock brokerages!

UNKNOWN_370 04-29-2020 02:17 PM

Mini is more visceral than BMW. Fun azz car!!!

CONGRATS!!

ZCanadian 04-29-2020 02:58 PM

OK, don't take this the wrong way, but my 86 year old mother in law drives a Cooper S. :-D

But I picked it out for her, and we all (wife included) really like it.

For her, it easily fits her, shopping, crafts, and dog. It's easy to park, and is AWD for our winters. She isn't going to venture out in a blizzard anyway.

For Mrs ZCanadian and me, it's fun and very tossable. And who doesn't love OVERHEAD SWITCHES!!!

I've actually considered taking it to a winter tracking event here in the past.

Your daughter will love it. If she can pry the keys from your hand!

Are those things fast? I have a friend who has a V6 Camaro. She told me that Mini's are always trying to race her.:icon14:

In stock form, in a straight line, no. Not Camaro fast.
They are fun on the curves. And have decent acceleration thanks to a good torque curve from the turbocharged engine (and AWD in my case).

But a Camaro will hand your *** to you if you are driving one of these in any real race.

cossie1600 04-29-2020 03:16 PM

How often does it need repair?

It's a BMW - what could possibly go wrong? Oh. :stirthepot:

Rusty 04-29-2020 03:21 PM

Wifey wants a Mini. If we ever got one. It would have to be AWD.

cossie1600 04-29-2020 03:22 PM

I think the mini is more size of a Toyota compact

bunk 04-29-2020 05:00 PM

My neighbor across the street growing up had 3 orginal Austin Coopers. Hed put them on a trailer every now and then and take them somewhere. Not sure if he raced them or showed them. I thought they were so cool. Now those cars were MINI. The modern ones, not so much mini.

cossie1600 04-29-2020 05:09 PM

I think the regular one is still 150-160", which is still small. I do miss seeing the Mr Bean car

ZCanadian 04-29-2020 05:22 PM

A friend of mine in the UK has an original mini, which he hill climbs and takes on cruises and to shows. He is not a particularly small guy. It's more a vehicle that he wears, rather than drives!

Its ok man remember I own a Z51 Corvette...,and when I attend a Corvette Corral for IMSA races about 85% of the people are Rusty’s age lol !

65 and above...I was even thrilled as my seat mate has a donut cushion as he seats to the chair...It reminded me of EW when he turns 65...btw this old fart Im taking about drives a Z06 we convoyed a few miles and his speed is as fast as his age of 65miles per hr....I almost crashed as I almost fell asleep following him.

My Corvette for added advertising.

I would say not as fast as a V6 Camaro... but its very quick down the line due to the twin turbo as BMW calls it when its only a single turbo with dual gates.

Its more visceral due to short wheel base not much body roll like my previous 370Z...I bet this would be fun to drive at the Dragon.

Among the cars Ive driven this is one is the fun and enjoyable car I drove second to the 370Z.

I’ll enjoy it while the daughter is still out of school possibly till next year lol

Honestly the 3rd generation F56 mini cooper needs less maintenance compared to the earlier original mini’s as they are co developed by Chrysler.

Well that alone you know where Chrysler went compared to BMW.

Recommend oil change is once a year or 10K miles but I’ll do 5K miles and cost $60 bucks for synthetic.

Common failure is just about any car with wear and tear. Transmissions fluid is never flashed or changed as it is a sealed type transmission. Which kinda worries me.
But based from my research this 3rd generation mini can ran 300K miles in normal driving operation.

Of course things to check are brake pads, rotors, bmw breakable fisher price plastics and corroding rubber bushing!

My mini has 98 months corrosion Warranty from factory.

I have a 2005 mini conv, and in the 18 months I have owned it, just oil changes.

Now when I bought it I did change all the fluids / brakes and the normal type stuff.. It runs great, only think I don't like its an auto

Jayhovah 04-30-2020 09:46 AM

My wife wants a mini 'vert or a Wrangler.... but she is too practical and can't bring herself to purchase something when her 150k mile Toyota Yaris is still running so well and "will probably go another 100k" as she says it. I'm a proud cheapskate.

You got me looking at JCW minis. Just love how they drive. I kinda lean towards the clubman.
Spoke with a rep via internet but they were so rude to me that I just cut them off. So I'm probably going to look out of state.

Man they are the best! Very visceral the turbo is quick Didnt feel much turbo lag.

Because of the short wheel base the car turns quick with the steering wheel.

Im actually considering of buying another one JCW. But I wouldn’t want to trade my truck.

If only my kids knows how to drive manual I would have bought this instead!

You might like this one nice options! Get it before I do! Lol

I took the time to polish and ceramic coat it. I think it is the last time I will wash this car before I return the lease next May.

Well its a BMW...this furking car is so sensitive like a ripe puss.

Changed the Halogen bulbs to LED!

Error in the dashboard saying your Mini will explode!!!

Damn BMW hates every aftermarket non BMW related.

Bought a canbus wire harness...fixed the issue!

Now the dash says “Your Gay Bitch” lol

cossie1600 05-19-2020 04:45 AM

Don't worry, my Smart is a Mercedes product. The anti pinch function works funny during the heat as the seal acts up, they can't even fix that

You would think that car should be Smart right?!

That car is so cute.. how many cylinders it has and gas mileage?

The mini can go 42 mpg if not driven hard because of the turbo and you put the drive mode to “Green” as Im green minded person.

Rusty 05-19-2020 08:02 AM

I'm surprised that the Mini hasn't died yet from from the Zoren virus. :icon14: It must be on life support.

It's all electric, 58 miles at a time. It is faster and smoother than a gas one anyway.
