That said, the base price is only about $10,000 more in today’s money as $75k, in 2008, is about $90k now and the base price is about $100k.

That said, you bet I'm buying a Porsche 911 Turbo S and some goodies if I wanna drop $200k on a new car.

My point exactly. At 212k. I could think of a dozen supercars I'd rather buy over a GTR.
