Haha! Even doing that, it wouldn't make it. It's AWD, or bust, where I live.

With import comparing his CUV to a Z. This is better off as a Selena Gomez site. Geez

Meh. I enjoy my CX5 more, actually. The terrible suspension and grinding transmission really ruined the 370Z experience for me. Torque in my CX5 is nice to have, too. Mainly though, I like how it eats up the pavement with AWD surefootedness, nice and quietly, with instant torque on demand at any rpm. It's not a sports car, but it's more sorted out than my Z was in many ways, handling among them, and it does the trick of getting me from A to B no-matter what the weather or road is like.

So you're saying if you gave a 370z this treatment, you couldn't get up and down your driveway?

Arguing if an SUV is better than a Sports Car is like arguing which is better, an F16, or a Boeing 747. They both fly but serve different purposes...
I have a Z and a Honda Passport. If I want to have fun driving, Ill take the Z out. If I dont want to worry about steep driveways or want to haul people or cargo, Ill take the Passport. :twocents: :driving:

I'm not saying I'm the fastest out there, nor am I claiming I'm faster than a "proper" auto, but I am quite capable of shifting pretty darn quick, quicker than most.

Plus, for me, no matter how good an auto is, a manual is simply more engaging and more funner for me.

Anywho, not trying to argue and not saying anyone is right or wrong. Just enjoying my Z and appreciating other fellow Z's.

I can stand behind your comments. I just find fun in both for different reasons. The world is made up of many flavors. At least we can all stand behind the love of the sports car. We'll some of us.... Import convert is now CUV convert. :rofl2:

If I'm hauling people around, shopping or snow, it's the Grand Cherokee. Just me and the wifey or doing trackdays, it's the Z. If I hauling stuff or off roading, it's the PowerWagon. Just me and nice weather, it's the bike. Traveling and camping, it's the motorhome. Each fills a different purpose.

Or it could just be the Power Wagon all the time! :rofl2:

I love that truck. It does everything I ask of it. It has taken me places that I would be scared to walk to. Plus it has never let me down. If I had to go to one vehicle. It would be that truck.

I could, but it would be a "running start" type deal probably. My drive-way is a 27-30% grade. Loose gravel. If you don't have AWD, I don't let people come down it. It keeps people out, too. They see that drop and just turn around.

That's how I felt about my 370Z's handling. It was a joke. Never owned a vehicle set up so poorly before, and I didn't like it enough to replace the suspension, which is part of why it got sold for a Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2014. The car just never really made me love it. Much better composure in the CX5's suspension.

Hold on... grade like that? And you're in Louisiana?

Dude, so much hate for the 370... but love for the CX5.

Rusty 04-02-2019 06:21 PM

30% grade.
