Jackie bought another A90. Base model more suited for a build, but apparently he couldn't get it at the time.

It is stupid, yes, because an engine tune shouldn't compromise a steering rack. But really, that comes with anything. You buy sports equipment and it rips, stores can turn down a return.

One of the owners they turned down had a stock one. No mods at all. What’s the excuse for that one?

It's not really a matter of making excuses or defense. You seem to look for that like it's owed to you while you've gone out of your way to express how much you don't like the car — we get it. Hence the tag on this thread that has been here for a while.

It's not like this never happens anywhere else, where a dealer/company sheds doubt on an innocent customer and denies them warranty. Granted, it's a bit out of the ordinary for a brand like Toyota, and probably something you expect out of a *gasp* European manufacturer.

Or Nissan.

Magnaflow came out with a pretty nice exhaust for the Zupra... Ummm.... I bet itll be expensive though. With dual mode now, magnaflow exhausts are now rather pricey.

I'm in the minority who isn't into the whole crackle and pop sounds.

Race car, or legit powerful engine, cool. The Supra isn't a slouch, but I mean, it's a 3 liter I6.

I already scratch my head when I see Z owners going out of their way to do muffler deletes or get virtually brandless axle backs. Like, no offense. Car got louder, and is, unless you did FI, still slow in the grand scheme of things. I'm all for people who try to get actual good sound, though.

Cars between, 4 and 5 second 60's are fast... very fast. Supra and Z fit that category. People get spoiled by knowing theres a bunch of 12 second quarter cars in the $50k range. But 13 second cars in the 40k range are respectable too. And they deserve to sound good. But that's just my opinion.

Impressive, don't get me wrong.
But care to start a pool on what grenades first, and how many launches before it does? :rofl2:

Review the link on a gent who tore apart and assessed the engine. Its very strong and thats why Toyota bought it. This is not a weak motor overall and for tune-ability its quite adaptable. The Supra is a nice package stock as well. Im not sure what the heartburn is for people overall. People in general, have no credibility to post intense opinion on what is good or bad unless there is experience behind the wheel - I think we can all objectively agree on that.

Yes the experience of owners will be key in the long term, as well as long term press reviews. As if anyone here would turn down the chance to test it for a full day or even own one. I would not. Its new, its powerful and appears more than capable even with noisy buffeting lol :)

Your steering might go? Your electronics may shut down but most BMW engines as a standalone are bulletproof. The issue with BMW engines they use cheap plastic hoses and wires that go to shyt fast. Replace those and you're good. In the case of the Supra. Toyota went through the engine and told BMW they had to replace all of that including using stronger metal components in certain areas.

I'm not a fan of BMW myself. But good Is good. No matter what my emotions about that companies philosophy is. Even broken clocks are right twice.

We can hope Toyota has the influence on anciliary items as you post above. Both my M235i and M2 have not been an issue and used daily. Reliable in the strict sense!
