"2017 Hyundai Genesis Coupe: Engine

Under the hood of 2017 Hyundai Genesis Coupe will be a twin turbo charged 3.3-liter V6 engine that will be able to deliver maximum of 480 horsepower. It has also been widely rumored that the vehicle will carry over its current 3.8L V6 as well as an improved four-cylinder 2.0-liter unit. At this year’s New York Auto Show, the Korean automaker confirmed that its 2017 Hyundai Genesis Coupe will gain a new twin turbo Tau 5.0-liter V8 that will provide an output of approximately 420 horsepower. This unit will also weigh far less than its predecessor."

So the V8 twin turbo will make less power?

It will probably make like crazy high peak torque at 1500 RPM and then fall flat on its face at 5K while the V6 will have less grunt off the line and rev higher for a more high strung/higher peak output motor -- IF those numbers aren't all make believe.

Which they probably are.
