Nah, the Bose was a factory option, this one doesn't have it (thankfully). When I was uninstalling the Factory radio, I noticed pry marks on it from being removed (poorly) before. I imagine the owner before me had an aftermarket stereo in the car, and put the stock one in for resale. I was gonna say, when my PC was hit by a power surge it would pop the speakers every few seconds (even though it was powered off)... sounds like something was shorted out. Replacement is your best/only option.
