the 350zs and early model 370z including mine had an axle click issue, mine was most notable when first putting put from a stop, just get the car moving and a loud CLICK, would be heard.

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in on the local events to try to get some Z action, haha. Every Saturday in my area (Irwin) at the excela square is the local car cruise. 4:30-8 depending on when people show up. Always a great turn out. Also at mineral beach by finelyville, pa same time during every Friday night. I'm normally always at either depending on work schedule.(mostly at Irwin)
Thanks guys!!! Mark.

Yea it sure seems to be that way just about anywhere now, but doesn't mean we still can't have fun and enjoy our cars! No way I'm gonna hide my Z because of lil ricers. Haha. I just enjoy being around the cars and driving my car.

very nice and happy early birthday. sur i'll see you there though.

also for everyone else i think i may head over to the beaver falls car cruise after cars and coffee. cars and coffee is doing a 50 mile charity drive directly following the meet as well.

beaver falls car cruise for those who've never heard of it is pretty cool. they shut down the entire main drag of the town except for the cars in the cruise and it gets packed. lots of old school stuff, some imports, smattering of big lifted trucks as well.

i hope to go to it but in the end it's up the the girl on what we do after cars and coffee :shakes head:

:bowrofl:

Haha my bad but you are correct. No chance of hearing anything when I'm on the gas in that car.

You coming out Saturday?

mrthomr 06-13-2014 07:49 AM

This morning. Right lane ends in one mile. I approach the light in the left lane and stop next to Kia Optima. Light turns green and it's a normal roll for me. I'm leading under normal rpm and then this Kia decides to punch it. I lol'd at him. Need I say what happened next?

Lolz. The sumbitch eventually caught up after i was already cruizing on the interstate. I bet he had to hit 95+ to catch me as I cruise at 80. He was on my *** till he got off at next exit. I would have let him pass on the interstate as I had no interest in going over my already 10mph the limit. Guess he was pissed he bought a Kia. Rofl.

i always get a kick out of lesser cars trying to speed by me on the highway. i swear it's always in heavy traffic they get on my bumper like i even have room to go anywhere lol

so usually i'll wait for a clearing, let them pass and feel good, then give em a straight pipe fly by lol :bowrofl:

ZeeZee 06-13-2014 08:15 AM

Agreed FP, do these people riding our azzes think we are intentionally going the speed limit in the left lane? Duh! Of course we have people in front of us.

ZeeZee 06-18-2014 01:55 PM

Well I just got back from the Wright Nissan service department in Wexford. Big thumbs up to their whole staff! Not only did they fix my axle click issue on the drivers side rear wheel, but they also applied the same fix to the passenger side that wasn't even clicking! The best part is it was all free and I was out of there in under an hour! :)

wow i think you just found the wild mystical unicorn of nissan dealerships then lol

in the 3 years on this forum i dont think i ever saw a positive review of one lol

congrats! making a mental note to go there if i ever need to again.

ZeeZee 06-18-2014 02:37 PM

I think what may have helped my cause was they found a TSB on this axle click issue on Armadas. The tech said it has been a common problem on several cars in their lineup actually. The notes say they pulled both back axles and molykoted the bearing face.

Question for anyone in here with exhausts. I'm thinking of picking one up and wanted to see if you had any recommendations for shops to have it installed.

UTAMAV 06-23-2014 07:42 AM

No need to worry about the shop. It's usually 10 bolts, and as long as you have a quality exhaust.... A monkey could line it up and bolt it on. I had mine done at Monro.

FPenvy 06-23-2014 07:48 AM

i did all my work so far myself. i did have the help of a friend with a lift but still it' not too difficult.

mrthomr 06-23-2014 08:27 AM

I paid $15 to a local Monroe shop to loosen all the bolts then took it home and put it on ramps and Jack stands.

Rusty 06-23-2014 09:28 AM

I did my LTH's and the rest of the exhaust in my garage using jack stands. If you are just doing a cbe. Only need to jack the rear of the Z up.

FlyByGTI 06-23-2014 11:35 AM

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm (in typical 370z forum fashion it seems) looking between F.I. and ARK and probably leaning toward ARK. I have jack stands and a mechanic's tool set at home so it sounds like I should be able to do it at home.

How long did it take you to get everything removed then installed again??

Did you drive the car right after install or let it sit over night??

Basically any tips would be useful.

cat-back removal is simple and quick and so it the installation on the new cat-back set-up. the only time you have difficulties is when you try and remove the cats. thats a bitch.

and i went and drove mine as fast as i could get it off the lift lol

Sweet. As of now I'm not planning on removing my cats (emissions issues) so I don't have to worry about the worry of not passing like I did with my GTI :shakes head:
