Those intercoolers just look weird haha

They look exactly like the intercoolers here at Mercedes. I haven't seen any isues with our air to water intercoolers here yet so they seem to be alright.

I also hope the turbos aren't welded to the exhaust manifolds. Ugh.

The M4 also uses air to water. Im sure itll be fine for the majority. Will be interesting to see at what point these become a hindrance to power.

Hopefully, this is super tuneable for big gains. Will definately fo test drive one even though I am waiting for the coupe or next Z.

brucelidat 12-15-2015 11:55 PM

350 trq is kind of low....

It's a strong possibility, I also can see the base model Z having the 300hp tune while the Nismo version gets 400hp etc.

sunkist350z 12-16-2015 12:16 AM

Possible the new z will get the same engine as the q60, hopefully 420+hp.

stock m4 puts down around 380 whp/trq. Hopefully this can be easily tuned to at least the stock m4 numbers.

350lb tq is enough for hard low end push.... If 350lb tq kicks in at 1500rpm? Believe you, me. In a 3,000lb Z car, you won't be saying its low. Especially if 400HP is felt in the mid to high rev range. This car will be a beast.

njobe89 12-16-2015 07:02 AM

with a simple tune those tq numbers would go up. 400/350 is good and basic bolt ons should make that power go way higher. i'd be more than satisfied with those numbers.

So some good news. I got confirmation that more than likely the next Z will be a 3.0TT.

If they already have the 3.0 TT V6 from the 2016 Q50, then it is a huge possibility that they can use the same engine in the Z35.

/Angelo350Z/ 12-16-2015 07:42 AM

I have no doubt that Nissan will use the same engine on the Z35 but with a slightly higher power output. I seriously hope the design and shape look more similar to the Z32 than the Z33 or Z34.

FPenvy 12-16-2015 07:52 AM

im wondering if the change to integrated manifolds into the block and new very close cat setup is to deter people from removing them.

that aside new engine looks sexy :yum:

the tq band being 350 tq from 1600-5900rpm is pretty impressive.
