lol that's kind of true! I admit I was wrong then and it was based on something I'd read in a Japanese car magazine.

I️ hope you are right Chubbs. I’m hoping they come out with something reminiscent of my S30 so I can have a Z as a daily driver.

Sad to say, there doesn't appear to be a new Z lined up until well after 2020 -- just a 50th anniversary variant which looks kinda... err... well... "exclusive" is the kindest word that comes to mind... :icon14:

Chubbs, are you saying you where part of a consumer focus group Nissan did for the new Z? I️ know you can’t talk details of the car but can you explain how you came to know what you know?

Didn't actually read the NDA, so I have no idea what I can or cannot say. That's why I'm being cautious. Hope I'm not breaking any law by acknowledging the existence of NDA's lol.
However, I have never been part of a consumer focus group.

I don't think you mean that. I think you - and many others (me included) - are gagging for any snippets of hope, however small.

Just one word of caution. My prediction of a Tokyo Autoshow concept reveal is pure guesswork on my part, so it may possibly be a big letdown. Anything that's not guesswork is also not allowed under the NDA.

Sorry to say this gang, but I can't see how Nissan can bring out a brand new Z at this time. They'd just be lucky to survive.

Or......you could argue that now is exactly the time to release a new Z. Pump excitement into the brand to help counter the negative impact of the bad PR.
