If I were a betting man, I'd say the S16 will come... except to the US market.

My thoughts exactly. We never got the S15, and the S14 we got in the US had a truck motor instead of the wonderful SR motors. |
Instead of ramping a few more horse power or including more features in the Z, Nissan managed to put ugly 2018 new rims on the sport model which are hideous.

I just came across a post by Nissan's facebook page. It was teasing the revelation of a concept car at Tokyo Motor Show.
I got excited for a moment there until I realized it is the Nismo Leaf that will be unveiled. I watched the video again until it showed only a glimpse of the grill of the car.............then googled Nismo Leaf. The video's theme is of nature, flowers, trees, and leaves. We all already know the Nismo Leaf is coming. There was no need to pretend like there is a surprise concept car. Just say it is going to be Nismo Leaf. Oh, the disappointment. Has anyone here ever thought that Nissan's thinking is that of a defeated person? If they don't get clever and wow the world with an irresistible sports car, that is exactly the reason why they won't see worthy sales numbers. Maybe, just maybe, their sports car sales suck because they don't outdo the competition. When one does not believe he can accomplish something, he never will. It all starts with belief. Again, they don't profit from sports cars much because they stagnate, not because the market and demand is too small. If Ford and GM can do it, Nissan must be able to do it. Z is too impractical? Make it a 4 seater. Forget the purists and traditionalists. Z is underpowered? Give it 420-430 hp at the same curb weight of 3300 lbs. Will smoke SS and GT. Then, witness all the horsepower and straight line junkies rush to buy it. Most muscle and pony car owners only care about power anyway. |
I can't show how really disappointed I am in Nissan, But Its pretty evident Nissan doesn't really care enough about the Z platform anymore.
I've been a Z owner longer than half of our current members in here the under 30 crowd have been alive, And I will be owning my last Z. I'll be looking elsewhere besides Nissan for my next purchase. :( NISSAN IF YOU CAN READ THIS GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!! |

Pretty slick on the way you did that. :rofl2: |
I have had many myself. 260z, 2+ 280z, 2 +280zx, 300zxt, 300zxtt, 2+ 370z Nismo's. My last one I am keeping forever. I won't make the same mistake I did with my 300zxtt. My next car may be a ZO6/ZR1 Corvette.

I had one of the first 350z in the country. Build date was 2002. I'm on my 4th Z and I agree, my next car is most likely the supra TT or a lotus exige S |
I'll be shopping for a 4C before the end of the year -- unless Nissan convinces me at TMS to hold out for the next Z.

Go ahead and start shopping for the 4C... fun little car. Nissan would have at least hinted or had something leaked if they had a Z concept. |
:shakes head:
a bit sad the conversation, but guess its going to die just wish they kill it off, so that it could start being a classic... Thou always enjoyed the had a 240Z, 260z and now the 370z I will enjoy my Z, and it's not going anywhere :driving: |
