Default Alarm Issues

my 2010 370z has 30200 miles on the odometer and the alarm isn't arming.
I've checked the hook all doors and even the gas cap and the locking mechanism.

However, I've noticed in the last month when I lock the car or unlock the car. I could hear a (sqeeky or no lubed mechanical issue from the gas cap locking mechanism). I'm going to guess this might be the culprit???

Anyone else out there having alarm failure issues?

The car will lock, lights will flash but the horn does not acknowledge (sound) to let you know it's armed. I've also left the window down then opened the door from the inside to see if the alarm will sound and nothing happens, no alarm.

Goes to the dealer on Monday. 8/19

If you hold the unlock/lock buttons at the same time for 5-10 seconds? it should honk the horn once.

You might of set it to silent mode or no honk mode by accident.

Can't tell you why it's NOT going off when arming it and unlocking it from the inside.

Are there only two modes? Silent and "on"?

I'll try that and let you know what comes about.

Thanks.

So I think a better term for this might not be silent mode.. but "OFF mode".

The horn now honks and alarm goes off. Crazy I would have never thought this was even possible!

Thanks a bunch!
