Default Extended Warranty Service Contract ? Is it worth it on a CPO?

Hey guys,
My first post on here, my name is Nick, I am from Chicago, stuck in eastern NC for the time being.

So I had just purchased a cpo 2013 370z Nismo with only 2600 miles on it, for an awesome steal of a deal vs buying it brand new (imho) my out the door price is 36k.

So my question is, the dealer is trying to pin a $2600 charge on my invoice for Service Contract or extended warranty, explaining that it covers everything that CPO warranty does not cover.

Now in my understanding CPO warranty is good to go for 7 years of 100k miles whichever comes first, most failures that occur to nismos are things like steering lock, clutch master cylinder, main seal, should all be covered by CPO warranty.....So why would I want to spend extra $2600?

Please somebody tell me if I am missing something....

I have spent my whole life in sales and understand what add on sales are and have a feeling that this is exactly what it is, and has little to no value to me, please correct me if I am wrong

My car will likely need a new engine. Maybe transmission... And it's already at 2-3k of repairs.
Yeah, CPO and an extended warranty is worth it unless you are going to go forced induction

$2600 is a rip off, google "Santa Rosa Nissan" and my previous issues weren't covered under the CPO powertrain warranty... So in my books, well worth it

Also, make sure you get $0 deductible

I have never not had an extended warranty to the maximum length not pay itself back. For me if I get 80% back I am ok with that because it is about not having massive repair bills when I can least afford them.

Also, don't forget that you don't have to buy one with the car. You can buy one at any time from any dealer. So shop around.

I saw your thread and was a bit surprised by the experience. I got mine through Nissan of Santa Rosa and had no problems.

Did you ever talk to them or made any contacts by email / letter other than returning the warranty documents they asked you?

What frustrates me the most is now I don't have any warranty anymore because they did not bother to help me revising the sales contract.

Clearly Customer Service is not their highest priority as long as they could meet their quotas. People who bought extended warranty from them via internet will never need to call them again.

Brother, call Nissan corp and file a complaint, they charged your acct while providing you with the wrong contract, that's fraudulent IMO.
