Cool, thanks for letting me know. It's nice to hear that they are already on top of it in Canada, it's not always the case. Please let me know how your expereince goes.

I will be putting my car back on the road at the end of the month and will get the service done then. I usually go to Unionville Nissan. It's not close to me, but the service is outstanding.

My car is going in this sunday. Already scheduled since they had the part on the shelf.

A day late and a dollar short for me. Had mine replaced after towed about a week in a half ago. Shelled out $50 towards my extended warranty deductible. Hopefully will get reimbursed for it. Now for car #2, also 2009, hopefully will get this replaced before it fails.

Ordered bypass harness from third party vendor here. So no cutting of wire here or fuse pulling. Calling dealer today with campain number.

Oh and car #1 was replaced with the latest rev part D. There is no rev part # E, that was probably for the GTR.

Update: just got off the phone with dealer and they are ordering the part for car#2 and on car #1 (slu already replaced) they will be refunding me my $50 deductible on my extended warranty.

ok, so mine went out on monday 03/11/2013, towed it to the dealer, then found out about the recall, they fixed it. but now everytime i engage or disengage the steering lock, the buzzing sound is a bit louder.

tried to take off the fuse, 10A labeled steering lock, and car wont start without it. is this because of what nissan replaced? anyone tried removing the fuse after recall service??

did you push the button and get it to unlock first? (acc or On )

Rickface 03-15-2013 01:56 PM

Oops missed that step. Thanks 03g35coupe6mt

Lou, will you hold one for me? ;)

zefaulter 03-16-2013 03:52 PM

I went for my appointment today. They take my keys and tell me it will take two hours. I go home and receive a call an hour later telling me they don't have the part in stock... Going back in Wednesday hmmmm...
