Default Nissan and Zurich Maintenance/Warranty

So the adventure starts.... Contacted Nissan directly and they are processing the request to cancel my Maintenance plus for up to 45k they got me for $995.00 gold/bronze package. But they can not do anything for me about the Zurich "crap". They told me I have to go to the dealer and get a refund for that.

Going to try and contact Zurich directly and try to avoid the dealer....I really am ticked off and hope I do not have to deal when them.. I am looking for a new dealer also.

I feel that the items below should have been offered to me straight from Nissan and not by some 3rd party. Not to mention what they charged me.

-Zurich Vehicle Service Contract they got me for 2,561.00 (Extended Warranty)
-Zurich Tire and wheel plan they got me for 1,323.00
-Zurich Gap insurance 700.00
-Zurich Shield ??? Interior/Exterior protection

Wish me luck :-)

Update #2...
I contacted Zurich directly and I have 30/60 days to cancel. 30 days for the gap insurance and 60 days on everything else. Here is the catch they have to have the paper work to process the request but and it can take up to 30+ days for them to get it. They suggested I return to the dealer and cancel it there. Not wanting to step foot in the dealer again...I asked if there were any alternatives. They said I could fax or write them a letter asking for the contracts to be canceled so I did both...I sent the fax and sent a certified letter via UPS. They would make the date of the cancellation when they got the fax/letter.

I was unable to do anything about the Zurich Shield as they had already applied it... oh well.

I did end up keeping the tire and wheel plan but everything else is in the process of being canceled. Thanks to everyone here for opening my eyes on how bad I was taken. I did manage to get a good price on the car but got taken to the bank in the finance office.

Glad you were able to get everything cancelled that you didn't want except the shield. Now go enjoy the car!
