The panel under the steering wheel should be the only one you need to take off if i recall correctly, its actually quiet simple once you get under and take a look at it. I want to say you may not even need to take anything off and you can see if from the bottom, but to get in that angle may be tricky. Here is a visual of the sensor:

Thank you kayess. I will have a close look at that panel and see if it can be removed easily and without messing up my warranty.
Below are some test results. On each day, the cabin temp was measured with 2 thermometers after the car had been driven for 11 miles. All temps are in Celsius and the system was set to AUTO with A/C off. There is little relationship between what you set the temperature to and the actual temperatuire achieved. 26 degrees C would be uncomfortably hot, but the car barely gets to acceptable room temperature. The whole system works - the hot air, the vents and blower fan - I see them all changing. But the car always settles at a temperature far below the thermostat setting. It is a bit of a joke. Code:
Date Outside Temp Set Temp Actual Cabin Temp after 11 miles 17/10/11 14 25 20.5 18/10/11 7 25 19 18/10/11 9 21.5 19 21/10/11 8 26 17 21/10/11 12 26 21 24/10/11 12 26 21 25/10/11 10 22 19, raining 28/10/11 6 26 18 |
