Default Airbags on Z I plan on buying

I got an inspection at my local Nissan dealer on a car I want to buy. The main problem that popped up is apparently someone backed into it and insurance paid to have the curtain airbag and side skirt replaced but the airbag light was on. A tech at Nissan told us that all the bags had to be replaced after an accident and it was throwing for multiple airbag related codes that were all current and that none of the airbags would go off if it were in an accident right now. The seller took the car back to the shop that did the repairs and says they reset the sytem and it's fine now. I am afraid even though the light is off now, it will come back or this is just something temporary. I am wondering if this meets a sniff test and if I should have it scanned again. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Don't buy it. They're trying to sell their problem.

Airbag problems can be very expensive to fix. Unless you can find a reputable shop that you trust to say everything is OK, walk away.
