Default Need assistance on my 2017 PW 370Z paint defect.

Hey all,

So I bought a brand new 2017 PW Z back in May of this year. A month into owning it I noticed a half dollar size paint defect on the roof of my car. I took the car in 2 weeks ago to have Nissan look at it and get it approved for repair.

They call me back today and said it's approved to get fixed. I bring it in this coming Monday.

Are there any options for me? It's going to most likely get repainted.

Will the value of my car go down?

What if the Body shop doesn't match the color? I hear it's difficult to match PW.

For the question on matching the color, if it doesn't match keep taking it back until they get it right. Make sure you are taking it to a place with a good reputation, if they know what they are doing there shouldn't be a problem. I had a 91 300ZX PW that needed some repaint & it came out just fine. I would push for the whole roof to be repainted.

Good luck!

Options, well, if Nissan approved it, the Nissan body shop does it...
Did they say what they were going to repaint, the spot or the roof?

on a personal note:
I have had Nissan twice do a repaint on the car.. (I have a black cherry Z)
1) once for a roof defect (they painted the entire roof)
2) a new front bumper (long story)

Didn't really see any difference, and did not see it come up on carfax either...

Hmm good to know. The defect is the size of a quarter so I don't know yet. I drop my car off at Nissan tomorrow and they're giving me a Yellow 370Z for a loner. Did you get your car repainted by a verified Nissan body shop?

This is where my car is going to be repainted at https://www.carwise.com/auto-body-sh...l-34652/467048
