Not an all season tire like he's looking for.

My motive is obviously a cheaper price. I'd say something like 40% off retail maybe.

Any opinions...good or bad???
The only downside is if something happens to them, you'll have to track down an eBay company to get a new set vs going to a dealer or reputable store.

Hi All,
Re tyres(sorry tires),
I have just replaced the original Bridgestones on my roadster with Hankook V 12 Ventus .
Did some research on this forum and they seemed to be the most recommend.
Here in NZ we have our road surfaces covered with course chip seal and the Bridgestones were SO noisy.
I have been very happy with the Hankooks they are much quieter and as a bonus they are more compliant without losing good road feel.
They may not be as " grippy" as the Bridgestones but as a general performance tyre,I am very happy with them.

My motive is obviously a cheaper price. I'd say something like 40% off retail maybe. And I'm only interested in new tires, period.

Here's an example of one that I was interested in:

2 Yokohama Avid Envigor Tires 245 45R18 245 45 18 2454518 45R R18 | eBay

This place is roughly 1.5 hrs from me. Any opinions...good or bad???
I got my Z at Ed Martin on Shadeland. When I needed tires I looked around for the type I was interested in and found a low price. I talked to the dealer, told them what I wanted, where I found 'em, and how much they wanted. They matched the price. I like the fact that if I have problems I can go to my dealer and get it taken care of.

I personally don't like to mix types of tires. The Potenzas seemed to be doing well, then went pretty quickly toward the end, so you may wind up needing two more soon anyway. I got a full set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. I'm planning on getting a set of Yokohama Advan Neova 08s for summer use. I'm figuring on several winters of use out of the Michelins.
