I really like my wifes 2010 Z4, its not an M, but it is a twin turbo.

btw, I'm looking forward to flying left seat on your 717s next year! (assuming the TA passes)

I think the new Z4 (sdrive35is) is one of the best looking cars I have ever seen. And it has all of my wish list items: folding hard top, DCT, 340+hp. Its just all the reviews say its soft or kind of numb. Maybe a set of kw v2 would fix that?
Everything else I have read says the M roadster is more of a drivers car than the sdrive35is.
I test drove the 370z vert a week ago, and I felt like it was lacking soul or character. Maybe that soul\character quality is subjective? Maybe I need more test drives?

Mike, so the 717's are going to express jet/ASA, and then there is a flow through/ flow back and you will be left seat at express jet/ASA Or did you think I worked for airtran/southwest. I would gladly fly the 717, but I want a widget on my chest. Just tell Delta to hire me already!

No, I got you confused with the airtran guy. The 717s are coming to us at Delta, prividing the TA passes. You guys get more 76 seaters, but lose a lot of 50s.

We also have an early retirement package as part of the deal, might be hiring real soon, and the company doesn't know where it will find enough qualified pilots starting in a couple years, so hang in there.

Whats the screen name of the Airtran guy?

Anyway, While I have very little seat time in the Z4, I did get to do a pretty agressive dragon run in it at Zdayz, and it didn't feel soft at all. It was really solid and fun.

Good to know! (Delta and the Z4 feeling solid). I don't know the airtran guy. Have you thought about the re-flash for your z4? Sounds like an easy extra 100hp.

I would buy the older z4m with the na motor. It's a true drivers car. M3e46 engine in a lighter, rwd coupe/vert. They are about as fast as a camaro ss or c5, but they look unique and are very driver focused.

Yeah, I'd recommend this one, too. Maybe a little more intense and harder to drive than the new Z4 twin-turbo. You can also get the same inline-6 in an older Z3, too.

The Z roadster is probably more laid-back. I like the roadster more than the coupe.

It's a LOT more money for pretty similar performance (upwards of 60+K?) Very attractive looking car, tho'.

There's a very entertaining Top Gear comparo of the two -- the Z4 was deemed less fun but much better for getting invited to wife swapping parties

The boxster s seams like the winner in the roadster catagory, but it seams a little girly? There is something about the M roadster that reminds me of an old german fighter plane.
