Default Is Roadster different underneath then coupe

My question is if the underside of the Roadster and coupe are different and necessitate a different approach to adding exhaust. I am trying to determine if the FI exhaust will fit on the Roadster the same as it does on the coupe. I have contacted FI and Tony has never done a coupe and is not sure. Does anyone here know for sure if the undersides are identical between the Roadster and coupe? I find it hard to believe that no Roadsters have added aftermarket exhausts.

Default Mistake, sorry Tony

In my first post I stated that Tony has never done a coupe and obviously he has done many. I meant to say that Tony has never done a roadster...

It should be the same.... The only thing different is the top portion of our cars.

I think they are the same as well but can anyone say for sure that an exhaust that will fit the coupe will fit the roadster? Would hate to find out after I bought the exhaust that there is a slight difference.

There is some extra bracing underneath to improve regidity, oddly enough one of the magizines out there said they had a quicker lap time in the roadster, go figure.

I just had a GReddy Spectrum Elite exhaust installed on my 2010 roadster with no fitment issues whatsoever.
The interesting thing to note on the GReddy is that it is two pipes all the way back to the muffler (no Y pipe, as in the stock exhaust) so it takes up a bit more width along the entire path of the exhaust. Still, no problem on the roadster. I think you should be good to go.

I would assume that if your GReddy will fit then others will as well. I guess the structural braces were built into both the coupe and Roadster and what we see underneath is the same. Would love to get a pic of the coupe and Roadster side by side on a lift so we could compare. Interesting that so few Roadster owners have added an exhaust compared to the Coupe. In a Roadster I would assume the sound would be intoxicating....

shouldn't be different. From what I read, the Z was designed from the start as a roadster, then the top was added to the coupe, whereas the normal process is to chop the top off and try to hold it together with braces... can't recall where I read it or id post the quote.
