Default 2009/2010 pricing questions

I am in the market for a 370, I had a few questions maybe could be touched upon before buying.
What was new price back in 2009 for a sport package car, no touring options, navigation sure.
I've read an issue with the transmission, 5th gear going out, a local nismo owner said it was covered under warrenty. Can anyone touch on this.

Last and I dont mean to be rude but is KBB a little over inflated right now? These cars I'm seeing are $34,000 new, KBB is saying a 2009 should be about $24,000, I'm seeing some dealerships asking $26 for a 2009.. isnt the main "rule of thumb" 3 years old is about half off? or am I being ignorant and a cheap @$$?

They hold their value. You will be lucky to find a low mileage one, in really good condition, for under 20k.

they're about 37% off from original new price. Surprisingly, like the above user mentioned, you would need to find one with 80k+ miles to be about 50% value.

if you buy private party you can score a nice low mile 9-10 for a sweet deal. I've seen 09's go for sub 20k under 10k miles.

I would think it also depends on the options. I was looking at the new price for the 2010 models - the touring with sport and navi is like $10k more than the base model. I think there will be at least $5k - $6k difference between these models in the used car market. Furthermore, the condition and color combo should also be considered.

I personally found that the fully loaded low mileage (<10k/yr) Touring (sport & Navi) in PW/Orange in 6 speed is hard to find.

For those of you who bought the 2009 & 2010 models. How much discount did you get off of the MSRP?
