I for one won't pay over sticker for any car, and I'm comfortable waiting for a while until some good deals are available.

What say you?

Nope.. I personally don't think any car is worth paying over their sticker.

now that the cars are out, anyone seen an example of mark ups yet?

There are still a little bit of mark up going on but not much. Once dealers get more shipments in, it'll drop drastically. As you've mention it before, it's NOT a limited production car. It's a mass produced car.

I just called the dealership by my place and the lady on the phone sounded as if she never heard of the 370Z. I asked her if they were in she said "no" and when i asked if she had any expected delivery dates she jsut said "no"...NY is looking hopeless til February. I'm going to have to look @ CT and jersey.

Paynig sticker or anything above is not in my interest not one bit. I can stick it out. Besides being in NY the weather sucks to drive anyway. At least this gives me time to save some more money for the payments lol

I'm not gonna even hope.

Went to a dealership in Carson, CA today and they were charging a $5k markup on their 370's, claiming that they won't make any money if they sell the car at MSRP, and that the 370Z is a limited edition car, like the GT-R.... LOL

soxdog 01-03-2009 06:36 PM

No Markup

I was at the dealer earlier today. These cars are not going to fly off the lot. They still had 12 - 08 350Zs sitting right next to them. You can get the car at sticker, if not a bit below, the current lease program is still very high, though. $650/mo. - 3k down - with perfect credit. Not going to lease many at that price.

The car though is a great improvement over the current model. Was very nice to drive.

Buena Park Nissan - Ca. Fully loaded Touring White $10K over sticker, they are asking $53K :gtfo2: What the hell are they smoking! I will not be going back there.

You can buy it for that!

The dealers are definitely pushing the 08's. One tried to even sell me at brand new 07! What part of "I'm looking at the 370z" do they not understand? I'm still waiting for the "Grand Touring" trim the salesman said they are getting in. :roflpuke2:

Oh and Miller Nissan in Van Nuys ripped their $12k dealer markup tag off the window. Some are getting the picture. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR OVER STICKER.

sirploppy 01-05-2009 03:44 PM

Why would you pay anything over sticker when you can get deals like this??

http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...boring-md.html

Hell, even with a plane ticket to fly out to pick it up you'd save a bundle.

No, I don't work for CarMax.

blacknbean 01-05-2009 05:35 PM

^^ hell ya..thats a great deal and only days after release. if you can wait a month or two things will only get better.

frost 01-05-2009 08:10 PM

Hard to imagine paying over msrp when there are articles like the one on MSN entitled "Dow falls 82 after weak auto sales"
