I did however see two truck carriers with 370s heading down the freeway a week and a half ago. |
I've had 5 GMs... 2 4th Gen Trans Ams, a 79 Bonneville (my first car), a L98 Corvette, and an 07 GXP Solstice (turbo). I ONLY liked the 2002 WS6 which hardly had mechanical problems until my friend bottomed it out really bad... (After that it was game over for that car)
I'm NOT impressed at all with GM interior. Even the Cadi's have crap interior. Plain-Jane crap materials, with the most bogus GPS. Even the Corvette ZR1 which costs over $100,000 has garbage interior. I mean really... They need to get a clue. Also, I'm tired of EVERYTHING falling of the cars. GM quality is like Mon-Fri beer-day at the factories with Sat-Sun off. For crying out loud, the damn door handles on the Solstice PULLED RIGHT OUT OF THE DOOR!!! BOTH OF THEM!!! The convertible top has been in TWICE for repair, a shock blew out, parts in the interior simply CAME OFF, and the back deck doesn't stay up if a tiny wind blows. The car is a horrid POS! Done with American cars. Nissan all the way baby! Never had problems with our G35, M35 and for 19 year-old car, my Z is doing quite well! |

I might pay MSRP, but definitely not a penny over, I'll never pay a mark-up, cars depreciate too quickly for that. I think dealers will be coming down on the price quickly on this car if they do. It's a little different then the GT-R's or Camero and Challengers, those havn't been around for awhile. I know the 370 is all new, but it's not a radical departure from a 2008 350z.
I'd like to pick one up in a few weeks, but if dealers are marking them up, I'll wait til spring or summer when the price goes down. The extra $ I save will go right to mods. Braden |
Summer is the time to buy, July/Augustish.
Below MSRP FTMFW! |

Out of my long resume (21 in 9 years) of sport and muscle cars, the only "american" car that was good quality was my 06 GTO, and it's hard to call that american since it was technically built in australia. |
If anything I'm going to be paying less...
And I'll be getting more! And I hope everyone here will too. You gotta talk it out right! |

$33,470 for a touring (squinting my eyes really hard)... http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/1629/cimg0792nd4.jpg pic thanks to AK@Performanc |
^ Actually its $38,470. The MSRP base price says $34K something.
|
so basically the touring model is around $4000 more than the base?

Let's hope your dealership doesn't mark up the price! |

Frost, believe me, I laughed when the second one came off.. I nearly cried from laughing so hard. It's really sad when you start to LAUGH when you're brand new car breaks so much. My dad bought a brand new Chevy 1500 truck and the next day the transmission blew up! After they replaced it, we didn't have any problems for a little while. Then about a year later, the body panels were warping, and for some reason the horn stopped working. About a month after that was all fixed, the gauges stopped working... We sold the truck with 17K miles on it. (We had it for 2 years.) |
seriously...
where do these dealers get the balls to put a mark-up in this economy? ridiculous |

Friends don't let friends pay over msrp. |

Quick question. what do you think is the differnece between MSRP and the Invoice price that the dealers pay? One of the Dealers near me here in Calif Bay Area says he'll sell one for $1,500 over the Invoice price. thanks. |
