Both the state college and the university I'm going to aren't more than 10 miles from my house, so there is no point to spend money on an apartment/dorm.

Yes, there is. It's worth paying rent to not live with your parents while in college.

A job just to pay rent, buy beer and fund chasing tail is worth it.

But they offered me $575 a month for 48 months with 12K miles a year with 3K down. I want input, but if you're just going to say leasing is dumb, don't just say that, give me an reasonable explanation and what you paid for your financing.

I think that's high. I just leased a 2014 Touring/Sport with Nav for $560/month for 39 months, 12,000 miles/year, $3000 up front. They looked around for me for a 500 mile radius to find the color and model I wanted, no problem, no arguments.

Not to detail this topic too much further, I loved, absolutely loved, my years in the dorms and later an apartment in college. But to each their own. I've known all types during my years, from people who loved the experience to those who ran home after 2 days to those who have amazingly fun parents that are actually cool to live with to those who don't need to drink/slack to those who just find it financially agreeable to save money and live at home, etc.

As long as you're happy! :)

I will just say, though, make sure you can *comfortably* afford the vehicle. It sucks to be tied to bad debt that eats up a really big chunk of your income. A car can quickly become a boat anchor in life's journey.

That said, if you get a Z (regardless of the color), welcome aboard! Drive responsibly! :D

Last year I purchased (not leased) a 2013 Touring+Sport for what comes to about $700/mo with 0% financing from Nissan with 0 down. I know, it's not a lease, but if you're happy paying what you're about to pay and you've gotten them to come down at least a little bit and get you the color you want...be happy. :) There's always someone who pays less for whatever reason.

Yea it was high, and they didn't even have my color. Which is why I contacted a dealership like 90 miles away that had it and dealt with them via email.

They gave me the car $2,000 below invoice which in the end came out to $515 a month, 48 months, 12,000 a year and $2,000 down. Now as far as I can tell that was one of the best lease deals ever for this car. It's a sound moment where I had to let that deal slip away.

But as far as I can tell, your deal and the one you quoted that I posted earlier are about the same since I would be leasing it for 9 more months than you and I'd be paying for more of the car.

Hey at least weed it's cheap at least here where I live

I'd rather be eating ramen noodles but looking forward to driving to the store for more and making the payment then eating filet mignon at a fancy dinner but not really enjoying the trip in my car that I don't really care for and is just transportation to me.

I was in Ramen world and am now in Filet world (tho with a new car still) and well.. I still miss the old Z.

I'm however also single .... haha.

I have drank before, but I find weed a lot more interesting/better imo. I'm perfectly fine to drive high, no hangovers, cheaper, etc.

Although I do live at home, I'm NEVER home. I work like 60 a hours a week at the moment between my two jobs, then when I don't, Im usually spending time with my girlfriend. Most of my meals are at eating out/at her house. But I basically put 75% of my paycheck every week towards saving.
