Recent 370z Purchase after price drop?

Hey guys, started to call dealership around me to see what kind of pricing they could do. I am looking for a touring fully loaded 13 or 14. So far the best price is 37,400 fully loaded except for kick plates.

I want to know if anyone else has bought a 370z recently and what price did you get it at?

NickTurnon 10-02-2013 05:28 PM

Just so you know, the kick plates are only $150, so don't let that be the reason you don't purchase the car -

Not sure about question on pricing- that's a little out of my price range lol

Good luck!

dtul 10-02-2013 09:47 PM

There was a 2013 black touring with sport and nav here in Dallas for awhile that was at like $36,575. Don't remember the dealership, but you can search new Zs around Dallas on cars.com and see if it is still there. GL with getting the car you want man.

falconfixer 10-03-2013 05:25 AM

Wait till the end of the year the prices will get better for leftover 2013s.

MistahGurgle 10-06-2013 11:42 AM

I dunno if i could wait that long lol :ughdance:

On a side note, it seems like the dealerships in Alabama doesn't want to offer anything below MSRP. I have been to a couple of dealerships and as soon as I tell them I am per-approved with my personal bank. The sales guy seems to get unmotivated, Or it could be that they finally meet me in person and see that I am a youngin lol. Has anyone had similar experiences?

MistahGurgle 10-06-2013 06:10 PM

So i finally manage to get the sales guy to take a picture of how many miles on the car. It comes out to be 83 instead of the 6 he originally told me. I know its been test driven but beyond that nothing. Dunno if they had some fun with it or not. It is black cherry in color so maybe that's why it hasn't been bought yet. I will be looking at 39k OTD. What do you guys think about it? Should I Buy or No?

fxroar 10-06-2013 09:13 PM

Loaded as in Sports/touring/nav? You should be able to haggle down to $37k-37.5k OTD.

MistahGurgle 10-07-2013 06:13 PM

Yeah, Touring, sports and navi is what I want. It seems like I will be waiting until a good deal comes around.

dtul 10-07-2013 10:19 PM

Try buying from somewhere outside of alabama. Some dallas dealers seem willing to sell for pretty cheap right now. Seen a couple loaded tourings here for 4-6k off msrp. Also ive seen a few dealerships willing to go from invoice. Just say you were offered a lot less elsewhere and they will probably try and drop the price.

MistahGurgle 10-10-2013 06:54 PM

Yeah, I have been expanding my search outside of Alabama. I found a touring without navi but with sports package for 35 586 include all fees and tax. It seems too good to be true, dealer is wanting 500 non refundable deposit. I can't really go look at the car since its 2 hours away in Georgia. If someone wants to go check out the car for me that be great :p

FirstTimer 11-15-2013 06:14 PM

Is that auto or manual transmission?

NaderS. 11-16-2013 02:48 PM

I got my 2011 touring for 27k not fully loaded though

Z-Girl 12 11-16-2013 03:24 PM

if I remember correctly I have a fully loaded 2012 minus kickplate, 38k not including tax. It was the last of the 12's and I wanted black on black nothing else. I had to travel to atlanta but it was well worth the 4hr drive. If your stealerships aren't willing to budge, keep looking. it is so worth being excited about your new toy AND knowing you didn't get raped on the price.

I just purchased a 2011 with 4004 miles for 29500. Blue with peanut butter interior. Sport, touring, and nav. 6 speed. Idk if that helps

zae757 11-17-2013 02:30 PM

Yea, that exceeds my wallet by almost 11k...lol I'm cheap though...try looking online to other dealerships that aren't nissan, you might get a better price for them trying to get it off their lot..

i think you mean orange interior.

TexasChuck 11-22-2013 05:44 PM

Nav Overated

I think the nav is over rated! He'll, you can look out your window and see where you are. Map reading 101. The touring just adds heated seats, thAt are too hot, leather, etc. The Sports Pkg, That to me is the good stuff, and reasonable at around $3000. IMHO !
Problem is finding one exactly the way you want it. Also, out of state or instate, you will pay the sales tax. But be patient , and you'll find a reasonable price.
On another note, why are roadsters over &10000 more than a coupe . Just blows me away.

LOL honestly it depends on what time of the day it is. Sometimes it looks orange and sometimes it actually has a peanut butter look to it

I don't know about all of that. I love my nav. And factory nav is integrated into the car better than an aftermarket head unit with nav.

XxACExX 11-26-2013 08:55 AM

The whole point of navigation is to get directions, what do you mean by intergrated better??

There are a lot more functions you can access than just the directions on the factory nav system.

XxACExX 11-26-2013 09:02 AM

I realize this but i guess everybody has their own preferences and to me the op of this thread came by a great deal on a car minus just the nav. I would never let nav stand in my way of purchasing a good deal.

There are good deals on cars with nav too. He originally wanted it, and would be settling on one without. Personally, I'd consider looking longer or in a bigger area. I bought my car 900 miles from home.

XxACExX 11-26-2013 09:11 AM

ok man, i am not here to argue. I do agree with you. I was just simply stating my own opinion on the matter. I hope that he finds the car he wants.

Agreed. He just needs to keep expanding the search area. His car is out there. If you end up making too much of a compromise, you'll be annoyed every time you get in the car.

I agree. I almost settled on a car without nav and I know I would've regretted it. I also found my car around 1200 miles away.

How are you guys getting the dealer to 37.5K OTD on a brand new fully loaded Z?

I had a tough time bartering them down to 39K sale price, MSRP is 41,900. Invoice was $38600. This was a 2014 by the way.

Time of year plays a big role in it. Not too many folks buy a RWD sports car when there's snow covering the roads.

Gadgetech 11-27-2013 06:32 AM

My 2014 base w/ sport pkg was around $35k MSRP discounted to the low $31k online before I started negotiations! They've got 2 touring coupes that MSRP around $40/$41k discounted almost $5k on the website. A NISMO at $45.5k discounted to $41,097 on the website.

Crown Nissan Greenville

XxACExX 11-30-2013 04:14 PM

That white nismo at crown nissan on the link you provided is a sweet price. If i were to buy that the first thing i would do would be to repaint all the skirts. The boys in the nismo engineering dept must have been high to think grey skirts would enhance the look.

Calling persimmon "peanut butter" just made me very happy about having black!

Never liked that look...

If you live here in California, at Hawyard Nissan, you can get a fully loaded 2014 touring with sports package and navi for 36.5K OTD

Based on the above information, I called Hayward Nissan on Saturday with the intention of buying the fully loaded black 2014 6-speed Touring coupe with sports package and navigation that they have in stock. The salesperson, Sal, told me that there was no way they would sell it to me for "36.5K OTD" (which means including taxes). The MSRP on that car is $41,905, which means the price would need to be discounted about $8,800 to approximately $33,100 in order to get to $36,500 OTD.

Will someone please let me know if $36.5K is attainable for this particular model or if the previous poster has written something grossly inaccurate. I think I already know what the answer is.

Any updates? I'm curious, as well. I am looking for the exact same model with the A/T.

I've been waiting too! Nearly a month with no replies. Perhaps someone with some good info will chime in soon.

fuct 02-24-2014 11:12 AM

why dont you just ask the salesman for the invoice price?

sticker on my nismo back in 2010 was $41,770. invoice at the time was around 36,770. and thats what i paid.....

steve hipshin at tom peacock nissan will do invoice pricing here in texas on a nismo, im sure he can do the same for a sport model.

only way to find out is to ask for yourself. Just because someone else can get that deal doesn't mean your dealer will give you the same deal

That's pretty far away! Did you guys drive your car back home or pay to have it transported?
