since this is my weekend car and dont drive more than 7500miles per year i have it under 'leisure car' insurance. check with your agent if they offer something similar. other than the max milage of 7500miles, the coverage is the same. one must have a primary car (dd) with full coverage to get this though. my G is my primary car and covered 280 for 6months so still very cheap. 
i am with a major insurance company covered for house/2 life/3cars/music instruments.
