I wish you the best of luck with that but be aware that you ARE on an island. Due to that you are a captive consumer base for them for you have no where else to go and they dont really have anyone else to compete with. I got lucky and found out that one of my friends had a relative that sold the car i wanted (Subaru) so that is how i got a good deal when i was in the market. Again, GL.

Prices in Hawaii does seem to be a little higher than on the mainland. If you can get one on the mainland and bring it over via Pasha...that might be cheaper assuming that you got it like 1500 UNDER MSRP.
There are only 3 Nissan dealers here...Tony, King Windward, and New City. They might be willing to do MSRP. Tony had a sale with Z's going at 1000 under MSRP...or something like that a little while back. Though...that only was for cars that they had on the lot. Why don't you call them or contact someone from the dealerships and see if they can or are willing to work out a deal with you before you come here. If not, then maybe you can have one shipped out. If you can use Pasha...I do believe that they have a better "track" record versus Matson. Will send you a PM as well. |

Why yes i did. Now i have a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT and sold the Celica to some college student @ HPU. Got 13k for it in 05! Boy do i miss that car and Hawaii. Namkyu, I follow XLR8SN's and g96818's advice as they are still in hawaii and even though i was there for 10 yrs i havent been there since 05 so my knowledge of dealerships there is dated to say the least. I can tell you that there who you know and your relationship with them can really make a difference. I got to be best friends with the dealer in Waipahu i bought my subi from and saved a **** ton of money. Nearly 4000 under MSRP actually. Besides, every one needs more friends. =) Last edited by joshj808; 08-05-2009 at 01:30 AM. |
