Even if it was a 10k nismo with no damage it would only be worth about $28k-$30k

Now even if you repaired the car it would still have a salvage title which would take at least $5k away from its value.

Back in mid 2012 you could buy a new nismo for around $39k

30-32k trade in, 33-35k retail.

Those may be correct figures for used retail pricing and trade in. But it doesn't accurately show what you can buy a new 2013 nismo z for. You can easily cut a better deal on a new Z as opposed to buying a used one.

Also the salvage title will make the value take at least a $5k - $10K hit, when selling the car. No one wants a salvage titled car and you basically have to pay someone to buy it.

And you usually can't get full coverage on a salvage title

What you just posted, which I quoted, makes no sense.

If you don't understand it, then there is a problem !!!

Dealer sells a used car as close to retail price as they can.

You can usually by a new model for below dealer invoice.

Simple example back in the 90's a nissan dealer tried to sell me a used 1992 Nissan pickup for $7500 retail.

I told him I wasn't going to pay that much for a used truck and then told me they could sell me a new 1993 Nissan with a lot of factory add ons for only $7000.

That's why its always important to find out what you can buy a new model of the car you want buy in a clean cash deal, before you even consider a used one.
