When ordering a Z built by the factory, at what point do they typically provide a VIN? I was told by a friend that it is roughly 30 days before

When do you get a VIN?
When ordering a Z built by the factory, at what point do they typically provide a VIN? I was told by a friend that it is roughly 30 days before it hits production .. but then, that was for the Fords he has had built for him.
Supposedly my Z is being built this month.. we're halfway through the month.. and yet I still don't have a VIN. Kinda wondering what's going on.
