2012 base model manual

How much should I pay. The dealer said initially 33k. I don't think there is anyway i'll pay that much, would 30k be reasonable for me to haggle towards?

go to true car.com and look up the dealer invoice price, never pay more than a $250 over dealer invoice on any car, as the dealer gets about $1000 or dealer holdback cash on every nissan 370z they sell. This funds the dealer makes are not readily disclosed to the buyer,

Also don't let them hit you up with and dealer prep, paper work, or extra delivery fees any higher than a $100 , all these fees are already covered in the MSRP price on the car.

I would think 30 would be the price I would aim towards. How I got my under invoice price was haggling him down and then when I felt he was done I said I'd have to think about it. A few hours later and he offered me the under invoice price and I told him sold.

Also don't hesitate to make dealers price bid. I started out with 3 dealers pricing each other down. It feels dirty but it's your money, and if they want it they should compete.

I did my search in 100 mile area because that to me justified the price savings. A 100 mile drive is easilly worth the several hundred to a thousand cheaper you can get a car by surfing multiple dealers.

But as the former poster says, I feel that 250 over invoice is fair. Everyone wins that that price.

Also tru car is your friend. The people who sell on trucar are what is called "internet managers" that's just a fancy way to say that they also sell to clients online as well as on the floor. These internet managers have a higher throughput of cars monthly than just floor sellers, and in fact the internet manager I talked to says MOST of his traffic is through internet dealings. So they can offer lower prices because they have a higher throughput.

Hope this helps

I have always fought for under invoice and got most of my cars for a couple thousand under invoice. I would try at least 1k under considering the 13'.

I dont think there is anything wrong with offering 30K or something close to it.

I paid $32,450 for a base Sport model 2012 370Z but i got a 10yr/100,000mile powertrain/drivetrain warranty & i bought an extra warranty that basically covers everything that makes the car run and drive, except normal wear and tear. The Nissan, & extended warranty company, have to prove my mod, or mods, actually caused the warranty problem. However I bought my car in june. I imagine now they really want to sell their 2012 Z's.

I paid $32,200 for my '12 Touring 7AT back in March of this year. Trust me, they WANT to sell them. For some reason the F&I guy told me the 0% APR didn't apply to the Z. Kind of ticked now that I see it certainly does. I'll never figure out why the questions I need answers to always come after I make a decision to do something. :/
