The noob thread - Good deals?

Hi everyone, sorry to dish out the noob thread so soon, but I couldn't resist! I'm stepping out of the world of Subaru's and into the world of Nissan's (hopefully). I'm coming from a 2005 WRX and was hoping to work out some deals with some stealerships on 2008 STi's but it seems like dealerships really don't want to work on prices. So, I decided it's time to start looking at some RWD options. I've test driven a 370z before and absolutely loved it. I'm really looking for a solid OTD price so any help would be appreciated! I'm looking at a couple of 370z's right now, only one seems to have leather, the rest are all base models.

Is #2 actually a sport model?

KaienZ34 02-15-2012 09:20 AM

The 1st is a touring model no sport pgk no nav.

The 2nd one is a touring model with the sport pgk no nav.

Second one looks to be a decent price.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. What do you guys think would be a good OTD price for the Monterey blue model?

Nillaz 02-15-2012 11:47 AM

It's funny that these are the two cars you're looking at as these are the same ones I considered. I'm currently negotiating with Bennett for the blue one, and hopefully I'll be able to take it home tomorrow.

Haha, guess that's out of the question.

It may start! Although, I just found this 370z and I'm in love with the color combo!

I feel like there isn't a whole lot of wiggle room on 370Z's with those options, they seem to be pretty rare. Any ideas on what a solid OTD price would be for that one assuming it's a one owner car with a clean title?

Yeah, that is a very rare combo. They only made 14 like that in 2009:

Please God no bidding war....I've spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to coordinate what should have been a straightforward auto purchase (long story involving identity theft...I don't have the heart to recount the details) and I'm finally in the home stretch....I'm not sure my financing could withstand the onslaught!

OTOH, the persimmon interior is awesome, though I've never had the opportunity to see it on a Monterey Blue. Wow.

BTW Vince...not to hijack but that tool is pretty cool. Did you make that?

LakeShow 02-15-2012 11:17 PM

Is that 370z website accurate? It's telling me there were 25 2011 Gun Metallic with Persimmon interior which isn't offered with any color other than Black or White for 2011. Strange as I was trying to get one and it's not possible.

Yep, I made it. :)

Good luck on your Z purchase BTW. I'm hoping to have mine (White with Persimmon) next month!

Yes, I believe it is accurate. There are Gun Metallic/Persimmon cars out there:

2011 Nissan 370Z For Sale in Evanston, Illinois - JN1AZ4EH0BM552614 - (a22948)

It looks like they were all made before or during 2/2011, so maybe they offered it and then discontinued it?
