The noob thread - Good deals?
Hi everyone, sorry to dish out the noob thread so soon, but I couldn't resist! I'm stepping out of the world of Subaru's and into the world of Nissan's (hopefully). I'm coming from a 2005 WRX and was hoping to work out some deals with some stealerships on 2008 STi's but it seems like dealerships really don't want to work on prices. So, I decided it's time to start looking at some RWD options. I've test driven a 370z before and absolutely loved it. I'm really looking for a solid OTD price so any help would be appreciated! I'm looking at a couple of 370z's right now, only one seems to have leather, the rest are all base models.
Cars for Sale: 2009 Nissan 370Z in West Simsbury, CT 06092: Coupe Details - 313129175 - AutoTrader.com #2 http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...nal&listType=1 Is #2 actually a sport model? |
The 1st is a touring model no sport pgk no nav.
The 2nd one is a touring model with the sport pgk no nav. |
Second one looks to be a decent price.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. What do you guys think would be a good OTD price for the Monterey blue model?
|
It's funny that these are the two cars you're looking at as these are the same ones I considered. I'm currently negotiating with Bennett for the blue one, and hopefully I'll be able to take it home tomorrow.

2009 Nissan 370Z, $29,991 - Cars.com I feel like there isn't a whole lot of wiggle room on 370Z's with those options, they seem to be pretty rare. Any ideas on what a solid OTD price would be for that one assuming it's a one owner car with a clean title? |

OTOH, the persimmon interior is awesome, though I've never had the opportunity to see it on a Monterey Blue. Wow. BTW Vince...not to hijack but that tool is pretty cool. Did you make that? |
Is that 370z website accurate? It's telling me there were 25 2011 Gun Metallic with Persimmon interior which isn't offered with any color other than Black or White for 2011. Strange as I was trying to get one and it's not possible.

I'm going to be checking out that Monterey Blue w/Persimmon interior. I know that's going to be a tough haggle, but can someone give me an idea of what a reasonable offer would be? I wish it didn't have nav as that's something I don't care about and it would make it easier to haggle for.

I love the persimmon interior, but my wife hated it so i just ordered white on white.
|
So I just found this thread but I picked up the blue with persimmons interior from George Harte Nissan on friday. I knew it was a rare color combination but I didn't know if was only one of 14 made. I feel so special :eekdance:. If anyone is willing to make the trip there is a private seller listed on the site with the same combination in George for the same price. Car looks pretty solid with some tasteful mods. Best of luck to everyone. Suburban Subaru in Vernon just picked up a white nismo with only like 2k miles but I don't know what their asking.

Just drove that bad boy yesterday. Kinda hesitant as it's not certified pre-owned and not from a Nissan dealer, but the Carfax checked out and the car seemed really clean inside and out. Any ideas as to what a good out the door price would be on that? I realize it's loaded and has relatively low miles, but from all the research I've done and talking with others here on the forum, it seems like 09's dropped in price a lot. |

I would say if your willing to spend 28$k at a chevy dealership look for a nissan dealership with a certified pre-owned for and maybe an extra $2k. You can even go on the nissan factory website and search for pre-owned Z's in the area and Nissan is offering a 1.99% apr on 48 month loans on certified cars which is probably much lower than any bank is willing to give. Just as a comparison, I paid $30 for my Z touring/sport with 16k in mint condition (not one single scratch, dent, knick or ding) as a certified pre owned with a 5 year or 100k mile warranty and got the nissan 1.99%apr. And that is what it was listed for although they were not willing to haggle but I feel it's a very honest price to begin with so I can't blame them. By no means am I an expert but I just wanted to share my experience to give you something to compare to. Best of luck with your search.
