Anniversary pricing
CPO anniversary with 11k. Dealer asking 36. Any input appreciated.
|
That's not far off what they cost new. There are several on here for sale for thousands cheaper. I bought mine with 2400 miles for 33k
|
That's what I was thinking in regards to their asking price. Thanks for confirming I'm not crazy! Wasnt the msrp something like 38k new?

I got mine with 8500 miles for 31,700 from a dealer with minimal haggling. They were asking much more. Not CPO, but I'm not sure that I care about that. I did a national search, flew from Boston to Florida and drove it home. I pretty much love the 40, so good luck.
|
I got mine for 33.5K with 5,000 miles in July (also looked all over, flew to Denver). 36 does seem high.
|
I saw quite a few 40ths on Carmax a few weeks ago for a lot less than that. The most expensive one was around 35k and had less than 1k miles. One was around 31k if I remember correctly.
edit: Just checked their site. There's one in Illinois with 7k for $34,147 and one in Georgia with 18k for $31,998 |
Just got back from looking at it. Pictures really do no justice to the color combo of the anniversary edition. They had it listed for 39k and the Internet special was 36k! I told him they listed for around 40k new. I offered 33K OTD and as expected, was politely told no. Salesman was a nice guy but not very informed at all about the car which was disappointing. He told me new the 40th sold new for 46k!! I respectfully disagreed, thanked him for his time and left. Thanks for all the posts, I greatly appreciate it. Nice to know there are other one still out there.

Lol, the window sticker was probably in the glove box or in the paperwork for the car. They know what its worth they are just looking for a sucker.
Keep looking, you will find one. It is such a gorgeous car. I couldn't be happier. |
I went to a dealer last night that had a 40th with 14k miles. They were origionally asking 36k for it. After haggling for 30 minutes, they would not go below 34k. Screw that, I left.
|
I bought mine last year for 32k brand new.

I haven't heard of anybody getting a new 40th for less than 36K. You do realize its basically a touring/sport no NAV with custom interior & exterior color. Paying 32K for a base+sport is reasonable. |

Trust me it's a 40th... And no trade-ins. Otd was closer to $34.5K, not factoring in a $600 shipping charge from CA to TX. I didn't say otd initially as it would skew perspective depending on where you live.
|
That's a damn good price, almost $2000 less than anyone else has paid. How did you get this good of a deal?
|
I know most dealers will knock off 1000 for year old stock being sold; so a 2010 being sold in 2011. 32 though...just doesn't seem likely.
Here is why: All the 40th options are selected, splash guards are not on all of them, and the aero package comes with the sport package I think: http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-p...ice-price.html Quote:

When I was shopping around Dec 2010 to Feb 2011, everyone was giving me prices around $32k - $34k. I ended up finally purchasing from Stockton Nissan.

I'll need to go dig that up... but here was the initial thread at the time of my purchase where others were also getting that low.

If you are buying a car for that much less than invoice...consider it luck. The dealer must be absolutely desperate to get rid of inventory and not make any money whatsoever on it. In fact at 32k the dealer is probably taking a loss. More props to you though for getting such a deal. :tiphat: |

You could look at this one, it's not far. See if they would accept a reasonable offer?

Not exactly.....they don't all have splash guards or illuminated sill plates from what I have found. I know the sill plates can be added later, but I don't know about the splash guards. I think the prices are due to it being a 'limited edition' more so than current availability.....there are several for out there for sale.....and the one's I'm considering have really low mileage. Who knows....I just want one!:excited: I don't mind paying a little extra for what I want, and I have no problem with somebody making a few bucks off me....I just want a good deal. |

That's one of the ones I have my eye on......wish it had splash guards already! |

Bought mine a few weeks ago for $33K, 6K miles. Car is absolutely stunning. I hate the splash guards, though. Took them off and will probably sell them. |

bought mine almost a year ago now with 3500 miles for $31.5K.
|
Do you guys include taxes in your prices? If not, I bought mine for 34k with 6k miles...

I hope this is a discussion about the anniversary pricing for any member, not just for OP. I apologize if I need to make my own thread.
Anyway, wondering what you guys think about this? 2010 Nissan 370Z 40th |
