Those who are looking to get base Z
Im looking through the threads and dont understand why people are saying there going to get base model with the sport package.
Sport package obviously comes with the 19s and the brakes. But the base model comes with standard 18 inch rims 225/50/18 in the front and 245/45/18 in the rear. Yokhoma Advan tires. The sport package I believe comes with the 19s that are shown in all the pictures of the car and with the brakes. 245/40/19 front 275/35/19 in the rear Just wanted to put it out there since there arnt any pictures of the base model below the sports package. |
Personally I'd be happy with either model.

Sounds like you answered your own question with the rest of your post. I plan on getting a base with the sport package instead of the touring for the following reasons: • I don't want leather • I can read a paper map • since it's not a sebring convertible, I don't want an automatic Does this help your understanding? |
no? im just saying its no longer base if u had a package to it lol

Is that a question? The name of the model is not dependent on the addition of options. I think you are confusing the definition of the word "base" with the naming convention of the new Z line. |
ok cool

lol thanks. A car is only considered base if it has no options at all lol.

yeah you guys are just getting lost in semantics
the base is the non touring both it and the touring can have the sports package so when one says base more than likely they mean not the touring instead of base as in nothing on the car |
What's the base model? The one you take home for $29,900. Anything else would be 370Z with _______ package (IMO) For example if you get the Z with sports package , you should say, "hey, I got a 370Z with the sports package" or " check out my Touring 370Z with Navigation package" ...

Has anyone been able to find all-season tires that are 19"? I plan on driving my Z all year when I get it (in southeast WV), and sometimes they do get snow down there, so I want some all-seasons. I couldn't find any all-seasons for 19" (all the summer ones were like $250-350 a piece), while they had plenty of all-season tires that would fit the 18" wheels, and they were only about $150 or so.

I don't understand the question.
I'm getting the base with the sports package. ;) |
He meant that people should stop bitchin that they're getting a "base" model because it is already comes well equipped. At least that's how I interpreted it.
|
lol no I just meant that I dont understand why people are saying "getting base with sports package" Its suppose to be "im getting the sports packagE" because its no longer base when it has a option added on lolll

I'm just thinking of Touring + Sports Trim...
I'd rather buy a navigation, my 05' G35's navigation blowed... Looks great though lol... |
i dont think a aftermarket navi would look as good as a stock navi in tht big position on top of the radio. the stock navi looks really clean

I don't understand why you cared so much to make a thread about how it won't be base with no options. You have the option to choose the base model with specific options that are/are not available on other trims. THEN, you add the sports package to that, which gives you a different combination of options that are/are not available on other trims w/ the sports package.
I hope this help you understand nissan's logic in creating a car with certain options and then adding other specific options to it. Maybe you should be downgraded to a single model power wheels barbie corvette instead of the 370z. You won't get confused then. |
I hope my barbie corvette comes in montery blue =)

lol im not here to beef with people over stupid remarks. I just want to talk about the 370Z =)

For the base PLUS sport package guys, why not just save that $2-4k, get the base with stock 18" wheels, and use the money to get aftermarket spoilers and wheels? These stock 18" are basic, but they can do for a few months to a year, when I buy a set of 18" or 19" gunmetal [something] with a fu@#ing fat lip on it.
