Dealers Lying Or Has Nissan Put A Hold On Production

Just got a confirmation e-mail from Danny @ Fontana Nissan....My Z will arrive with an ETA of August 12th 2011

Update:

I have my 2012 model year VIN#, and a scheduled delivery of November 18th. I'm thinking this means my car is built and it's a matter of getting it shipped from Japan to Ohio.

So I swung by my dealer on Saturday and got the official paperwork. Car was built on September 25th, and is scheduled for delivery the week of 11/18. The other paperwork, a dot matrix report print out, has the code on where the car is, and INT means sea transit, so it's on the boat. My dealer says that in the last 3 months every car they have gotten has actually arrived 1 - 2 weeks earlier than the scheduled date.

AWESOME, it's on it's way.

huh? You guys are getting 2012 models delivered in November? I thought these werent coming out until April of next year.

Must be old news. Mine is definitely a 2012, and it should be here in about a month.

Nissan distribution told my dealer in August the 2012 models would start being built in September, and it's appears they were telling the truth.

Invoice, no matter what it was for 2012. As it turns out, it's the same as the later 2011's. My car with the Sport Package, Kick Plates and Front Floor Mats MSRP's for $36,865. I'm paying $34,310, plus tax and fees etc. I didn't feel the need to squeeze them down for a few hundred dollars less. I consider invoice a good price.

Congratulations Bonzo! That's good news to me as i now know that the 2012's have started to ship. I was told by my salesman he would be calling me with the VIN sometime in November, i ordered mine on 9/2/2011.

After lurking here for the past 2 years I finally ordered my 2012 370z! Dealer gave me invoice pricing on a Base + Sport. After Idaho Sales tax and all fee's I payed $35,005.00 USD. Picked up 3.6% financing from a local credit union. Expecting delivery some time between January and Early March. Not in a huge hurry... North Idaho gets a lot of snow from December - March. Moving from a 1990 Honda Accord to a 2012 Z.... lol.

I ordered mine 9/2/2011 and i'm being told the same thing, expected to arrive around Christmas or the first of the year.
