Dealer has 40th Z w/ 22 thousand miles?!

Found a 40th Anniversary edition that looks to be in mint condition with 22,xxx miles, 1 owner, clean carfax, located in southern state.
Dealer is asking 34,000. Sounds really high to me as a starting price so I'm going to wait it out but damn 22 thousand miles? That's seems like an awfully amount of driving for a 2010 car.

That kind of raises a red flag? What do you guys think?

That's a lot of miles in 1 year. Does the carfax show where the car was previously registered? If it has been driven year round in Minnesota you will need to get underneath to check things out.

The price seems about right for a posted retail price (would probably be $1000 higher with less miles), certainly could be some negotiating room.

Sorry. The 40th Z is not located in Minnesota. It's out of state in the south. So that a explains a little more into the mileage as it must have been someones daily driver. haha :)

Ya I am thinking pricing near 32 or possible lower.

Thats a lot of miles in 1 year. Sorry they need to lower that price.

I have a 2009 with 16,000 miles. LOL

Agreed.

Is it bad to put that many miles on a car in about a year and a couple of months? Carfax shows that the car was purchased on 3/19/10. It also shows the owner got "Oil and filter changed, chassis lubricated, Maintenance inspection completed, Tire condition and pressure checked" every 4,000 miles up to 22,000. He must have taken good care of the car.

34 thousand with or without TTL? Because that's pretty much higher than what I paid for a brand new 2010 40th anniversary her in Cali.

That's way too expensive when I bought my 40th brand new w/ 8 miles.

I agree. Am I in the crazy side for thinking close to 30?

Far too High. A guy just listed one on here for 34 with less than 2k miles.

Econ 05-11-2011 08:54 AM

that price is so high, its actually funny.

for some reason a lot of nissan dealers think these 370's are gold, and that they are increasing in value daily.

I dont think they are aware they only sell ~10k a year.

I bought a NEW touring 7AT (left over) for 26K 4 months ago...

Some people drive a lot. I have 14,000 on my car since September '10. :icon17:

I would buy a brand new base+sport before I spent that much on a used car with 22K on the clock, but thats just me, the premium you pay for the 40th is silly, I can understand it on the Nismo since it has more hp a better suspension etc. But the 40th just has certain parts painted differently.

I completely agree. It's ridiculous! My local dealer has most if not all of his used 09 and 10 z's listed at new prices and I'm pretty sure not one has been sold.

I don't think they understand that with gas prices this high and the economy the way it is people are not really buying sports cars.
